The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is expanding the Certified Internal Auditor exam to several new languages to accommodate international candidates seeking the credential. As the only globally recognized internal audit certification, it is important that the CIA exam be accessible to a multitude of audiences across the world. The IIA estimates that there are over 160,000 CIAs across over 170 countries already benefitting from the professional recognition that comes with the credential.
Currently, the exam is available in Arabic, English, French, German, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish. Traditional Chinese and Japanese will be available October 1, 2019. In 2020, Thai and Simplified Chinese will be available on February 1 and June 1, respectively. Lastly, the exam will be available in Polish starting January 1, 2021. The IIA also provides resources about the local certification process for candidates in Belgium, Brazil, China, Chinese Taiwan, Czech Republic, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
